Duma speaker says 400 bln rbl needed for Putin’s orders
MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- Fulfilment of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s orders, given in Wednesday’s address to the Federal Assembly, will require around 400 billion rubles, speaker of the parliament’s lower house State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin told reporters on Thursday.
“According to preliminary estimates of the Finance Ministry, around 400 billion rubles are needed to fulfill the address... The expenditures are serious, but they will give an impulse for economic development through regional opportunities,” he said.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the government will have to work hard to fulfill the orders, and they should become the basis for new social and economic initiatives to be developed by the government until July 1.
Mishustin asked the government to begin implementation of the president’s orders immediately.
